SUMMARY
This study, carried out by foresight consulting agency Northstar Research Partners on behalf ofAmadeus, aims to understand the travelers of 2033. What will motivate travelers in the future? How will they differ from today? How will they relate to technology in their travel experience? Will they be looking for more responsible tourism services? Will they trust artificial intelligence to guide them in their choices? How confident will they be about their data? Generally speaking, what will be the new behaviors?
This study seeks to answer these major questions and paints a portrait of 4 typologies of travelers that will develop between now and 2033 :
- " Excited Experientialists Excited Experientialists " : in search of new experiences, technology is used to enhance their travel comfort;
- " Memory Makers "They prefer to put people first, and are less sensitive to technology and social and environmental responsibility;
- " Travel Tech-fluencers " : focused on technology in their lives, AI will be essential to improve their travel experience and in particular save them precious time ;
- " Pioneering Pathfinders " : they have high purchasing power, are always looking for a new adventure; with a strong environmental conscience.
" Traveler Tribes 2033 " is based on in-depth research with 22 experts from various fields - both within and outside the travel industry - followed by a survey of 10,345 travelers from 15 countries , and the collection of 5.84 million data points.
