SUMMARY
Réinventer le patrimoine has published (Dec. 2023), in collaboration with Banque des Territoires, a study on the economic potential of digital and immersive experiences at heritage sites.
Public expectations and the constant evolution of technologies are opening up new perspectives for heritage promotion and mediation. Nevertheless, given the multiplicity of existing digital and immersive proposals, offers and models need to be analyzed and mapped. The aim of the study is to raise awareness among elected representatives and project managers, to inspire them and provide them with the keys to designing and operating digital or immersive solutions to enhance and animate heritage sites.
This work is divided into 3 parts:
-> An overview of digital uses and opportunities in heritage sites (a typology of projects, a mapping of players and possible models of collaboration).
-> 15 benchmark sheets illustrating inspiring practices and experiences.
-> Practical fact sheets to guide heritage site managers through the three stages of a project : design, operation and evaluation economic spin-offs, territorial and environmental impacts.
