SUMMARY
Under the direction of Timothée DUVERGER, this book identifies and highlights projects that are driving social innovation in local areas, in order to propose indicators of the impact and territorial anchoring of companies. Companies must move from a societal commitment (CSR) to a territorial commitment (TEN), contributing to the common good through actions and projects that have an impact on the territories in which they operate. The document proposes a reference framework of indicators to assess the social impact of companies in various fields such as mobility, social cohesion, inclusion, access to employment and education, and ecological transition. It highlights the need for a just transition, and puts forward recommendations for strengthening the territorial commitment of companies. Case studies and exemplary initiatives illustrate how companies can contribute to regional revitalization and social performance. Public authorities and businesses need to cooperate with multiple stakeholders to meet social and environmental challenges, develop productive resilience strategies and support local experimentation. Corporate philanthropy is also highlighted as a lever for territorial commitment.
