Benchmark Governance and Partnerships SDG, Transition and Resilience
Amsterdam Donut

SUMMARY

Amsterdam' s ambition is to become " a prosperous, regenerative and inclusive city for all its citizens, taking into account the limits of the planet ". To achieve this goal, the city aims to become a "circular" city by 2050. It is inspired by the work of economist Kate RAWORTH, based on an inclusive, "donut" development model that balances the essential needs of the population with global ecological challenges. The city has set itself medium-term objectives and an action plan for the next five years, combining social and environmental justice.
