SUMMARY
This report, the result of ADEME's " Transition(s) 2050 " forward-looking approach, highlights the challenges facing coastal tourism development in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur in the face of climate change, based on four forward-looking scenarios to 2050. It examines the impact of climate change, changes in tourist behavior and territorial dynamics on the sustainability of this activity. The scenarios address issues such as reducing energy consumption, adapting infrastructures and managing fragile coastal ecosystems. The report proposes concrete actions to reinvent tourism towards greater resilience and sobriety, while meeting the region's ecological and socio-economic challenges.
