Each year, GDS-Movement publishes the "GDS-Index"the Global Destination Sustainability Index, the leading international program for assessing the sustainability and improving the performance of destinations and their tourism economies. Alongside this ranking, the organization awards four destinations in the following categories: Leadership Award, Best Progress Award, Innovation Award and Impact Award.
This webinar presents the 2023 results of this ranking: which destinations are the most successful in their sustainable tourism strategy? It's also an opportunity to explore the best initiatives with testimonials from the four award winners: Gothenburg (Sweden), Leadership Award; Liverpool (UK), Best Progression Award; Washington DC (USA); Innovation Award and Sydney (Australia), Impact Award.
