SUMMARY
StartupBlink is a research center that provides stakeholders with startup ecosystem development services and customized analyses of the innovation economy. It also produces a global interactive map of startup (150,000 start-ups) and an annual annual international ranking of start-up ecosystems on a national (100 countries analyzed) and metropolitan (1,000 cities analyzed) scale.
This report includes an analysis of the 2024 "Global Startup Ecosystem Index".Global Startup Ecosystem Index". It highlights the fact that, in the first quarter of 2024, global funding for startups reached its second lowest level since early 2018. These results come against a backdrop of inflation, albeit relatively under control, but still high and with higher interest rates. In this economic landscape, startups are forced to prioritize profitability over growth. Ongoing geopolitical conflicts, upcoming electoral cycles (particularly in the USA) and macro-economic uncertainty make the environment for startups difficult overall.
