SUMMARY
TheEuropean Startup Initiative is the brainchild of a group of entrepreneurs whose aim is to encourage the development of "tech communities" in Europe. To this end, they have created a platform that lists data, events and training available on European startup ecosystems: Startup Heatmap Europe (SHM). Recognizing that location is a very important factor for companies and talent in the digital economy, the association conducts an annual survey of founders and major technology companies on the mobility and attractiveness of startup ecosystems ("hubs").
