Student Productions Tech, Data & Innovation

SUMMARY

Lily BROVER-RABINOVICI - Master 2 "Attractiveness and New Territorial Marketing" - Academic year 2021/2022

What happens when you combine these three notions: startup, territory and innovation? We then enter the almost infinite universe of business ecosystems, which can take a variety of forms: incubators, competitive clusters, nurseries, and so on. It is these notions, as vague as they are shifting, and absolutely essential to the development of young innovative companies, that have made this dissertation on the territorial behavior of startups in their innovation process possible.

A study of existing literature, reflecting more the institutional viewpoint, and a field survey based on a series of twelve qualitative interviews with startups based in the South of France, enabled us to gain a better understanding of the entrepreneurs' point of view and, based on their clearly expressed expectations, to make managerial recommendations for attractiveness and economic development agencies.

A true constructivist work, this professional thesis also provides a tool, beneficial to all members of the ecosystem, that of a mapping of the ecosystem of structures promoting startup innovation in the South of France.
