The Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL ) is an action laboratory that aims to transform the global economy based on theDoughnut Economics model developed by economist Kate Raworth. This model proposes an economic framework that ensures a balance between basic human needs and the planet's ecological limits.

This guide is designed to support cities and regions wishing to apply the Donut Economy model to rethink their territorial development.

It compiles recent knowledge on the application of the Donut Economy by local and regional governments. It presents 12 detailed case studies, sharing the journeys, experiences and lessons of pioneering territories: Amsterdam (Netherlands), Brussels (Belgium), Copenhagen (Denmark), Grenoble (France), Valence Romans (France), Barcelona (Spain) and Ipoh (Malaysia).
