SUMMARY
This practical guide to the use of generative AI in the tourism sector was drawn up by Pierre BOUTON, founder of PanoraVeille, an intelligence network for tourism professionals. It provides an understanding of how generative AI tools work, supported by an overview of adoption and usage in the tourism sector. A section is devoted to what AI tools can do and what they cannot (and should not) do in place of humans. The author provides a library of prompts and a comparison of seven of the main tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, NotebookLM, Canva and Midjourney). Finally, a reminder of the legal framework (RGPD, image rights, copyright, AI Act) as well as a model charter for the use of AI in the Appendix for responsible and ethical use.
