SUMMARY

The health crisis has served as a wake-up call, putting health back at the heart of the concerns of the population and public players alike. In addition to providing access to healthcare, local authorities are increasingly called upon to prove that they can offer an environment that is conducive to the health of the people living there. However, the determinants of health are multi-factorial (see visual below). Health-Friendly Urbanism (UFS) proposes a transversal and global approach: it considers health from the angle of the population's well-being. "Access to nature in the city, to quality food and to physical activity are among the many environmental, economic and social determinants of health. (REGARDS - AGAM)

This "REGARDS" booklet, produced in collaboration with the Agence Régionale de Santé (ARS) Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and Agam, offers a synthetic approach to this complex subject, placing the individual at the heart of public policy.
