SUMMARY
The city of Utrecht (Netherlands) has launched the " Healthy Urban Living " strategy to reconcile its growing attractiveness with quality of life. Using a cross-functional approach, it has mobilized various public services to improve the quality of life, health and well-being of its residents. Its strategy is to promote cycling as the main mode of transport. This strategy is underpinned by ambitious urban planning choices. This publication summarizes the project, the strategy and the actions undertaken.
This case study was presented at PMF 2022 in Grenoble as part of the work of the "Health, Well-being & Sustainability" Think Tank.
