NOTE | Solidarity between territories: a lever for the ecological transition

Governance and Partnerships SDG, Transition and Resilience

SUMMARY

Local and regional authorities play an essential role in driving the ecological transition. It involves making all territorial public policies coherent around these issues, and coordinating the actions of different local authorities. With the 2020 municipal elections bringing in new local executives, feedback from the local authorities studied by France Stratégie - Albi, Greater Geneva, Brest, Hauts-de-France - provides recommendations for appropriate governance and increased means of intervention at local level.
