Baromètre Arthur Loyd 2024

SUMMARY

Arthur Loyd, the commercial real estate consultancy, publishes the 8th edition of its annual ranking of attractive metropolises. 50 regional catchment areas are analyzed through 75 statistical indicators drawn from official sources (INSEE, Banque de France, INPI, etc.) and professional sources (Notaires, Yanport, Trendeo, Arthur Loyd databases, etc.) aggregated into 4 themes: Economic vitality, Business and real estate reception, Connectivity, human capital and transition, Quality of life. Converted into a composite index ranging from 0 to 1 (from the least attractive to the most attractive area), this index enables metropolitan areas to be ranked according to their size, taking into account their geographical scale.

This year's ranking is rounded out by territorial and thematic analyses to decipher major socio-economic and environmental changes: analysis of investment projects, industrial past and territories, industrial renewal, branding of territories and development of green industries.

Keywords: metropolitan areas, attractiveness, welcoming businesses, connectivity, cost of setting up, cost of housing, demographics, economic dynamism, employment, urban amenities, higher education, environment, local taxation, commercial real estate, mobility, soft mobility, resilience, health, safety, talent, transition, quality of life.
