SUMMARY
The town of Batz-sur-Mer (Loire-Atlantique) has launched two communication campaigns (2021 and 2022). These feature the town's municipal employees in a humorous, offbeat light (and on a reduced budget). It's an opportunity to showcase the city's staff and raise public awareness of their work. The initiative was prompted by the communications director's desire to raise tourist awareness of beach safety, following a number of drowning incidents in coastal communities. The gamble paid off, with a viral effect on social networks and a strengthening of the local authority's employer brand.
