For several years now, sustainability has been the overriding objective within which the various attractiveness professions have been reinventing themselves: from tourism to MICE, via economic or talent attraction. This goal of sustainability has now been superseded by an even greater ambition for triple regeneration: of living environments, societies and economies. For these ecosystems, in which the public players involved in regional attractiveness and business interact, the aim is no longer simply to reduce negative impact, but also to produce a net positive impact! In this way, we move from sustainable attractiveness to regenerative attractiveness.

Regenerative organizations seek to exert a positive impact by continuously renewing the resources already present in the region: environmental, human and economic resources. In so doing, they help to anchor these resources and attract new ones. This ability to attract is particularly important for certain categories of target audiences, who are attracted by the regenerative commitments of territorial marketing, and who will also play an active role in this regeneration when they move to the area, invest in it or visit it as tourists.

Businesses, coalitions of players and local authorities are experimenting with these regenerative approaches: environmental restoration, local production circuits, new relationships with the living world, inclusive governance, new economic models. The plenary session will highlight the organizational and territorial implications of this new systemic approach. It will present inspiring innovations and examine the conditions for success.

Keywords: business model, circular economy, extractive economy, economy of functionality, regenerative economy, renewable energies, symbiotic enterprise, companies, net positive impact, nation branding, new business models, photovoltaics, development strategy, territories, triple regeneration, Place Marketing Forum, PMF26, Aix-en-Provence.
