En Colombie-Britannique, les acteurs touristiques coconstruisent leur stratégie de développement durable grâce à T.O.T.A

SUMMARY

The Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA), a federation of tourism businesses, has collaborated with all regional players (public, private, citizens) to co-construct a sustainable tourism strategy. It is based on the region's differentiating factors, its natural assets and its indigenous culture, to enhance its appeal. Players are trained and supported to develop eco-responsible activities. By focusing on itinerant tourism, targeting certain clienteles and pooling services, stakeholders have succeeded in smoothing out the seasonality of activities while preserving the environment and improving social cohesion.
