SUMMARY
A group of young girls, vacationing with their grandmother in a small Taiwanese village in the spring of 2014, painted murals depicting cartoon characters to brighten up the walls of her home. Little did they know how much of a craze they would become. First with the locals, who started doing the same, and for the past year, with the tourists who flock to visit these curiosities. The village has been dubbed Cai Hui Cun (彩繪村), literally the "painted village".
