SUMMARY
The Speedfactory project, launched in Germany with support from the Autonomik 4.0 program of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy, aims to develop a fully automated production facility. A production process modeling method is used to meet the challenges of individualized production in real time. The project serves as a demonstrator of Industry 4.0 and tests the relocation of footwear and textile production as close as possible to demand, i.e. close to major cities.
