SUMMARY
Despite the tourism and agricultural potential of the Mediterranean region, small-scale producers in rural areas of France and Italy are experiencing difficulties, while tourism is concentrated in coastal areas during the summer months. To overcome these difficulties, the European PROMETEA project aims to boost the attractiveness of the partner territories (Corsica, Liguria, PACA, Sardinia and Tuscany) by encouraging innovative local know-how in the agri-food sector and agri-tourism.
