SUMMARY
The European MADRE (Métropole et Agriculture Durable pour des Relations Equitables) project aims to encourage urban and peri-urban agricultural and food production, the exchange of best practices and transnational cooperation. Six metropolitan areas in five countries are taking part: Marseille and Montpellier (France), Barcelona (Spain), Bologna (Italy), Thessaloniki (Greece) and Tirana (Albania). Funded as part of the INTERREG MED program, this work is part of a process of learning and sharing knowledge between territories.
