SUMMARY
Complementary local currencies are alternative currencies that, among other things, promote the attractiveness of the local area. Bristol's English currency, the "Bristol Pound", was launched in 2012, and had over 1,500 citizen members and 750 member businesses in 2015. This social innovation is catching on in countries around the world, but what are the benefits in terms of economic attractiveness?
