With the Ghosts of Seattle Past art project, initiated by author Jaimee GARBACIK, residents of the "Emerald City" are invited to recount places that have disappeared as #Seattle has changed. #Seattle :

The Ghosts of Seattle Past is an atlas of our memories, a collaborative map of places loved and missed in a rapidly evolving city. Ghosts of Seattle Past website - The Future is in our Past.

From a placemaking perspective, this social innovation project enables residents to reappropriate their city, recreate the feeling that it is possible for citizens to act on public space and reweave bonds around collective projects.
