The spatial and social transformations of contemporary societies herald the end of the city as we know it. Local public authorities (and therefore territorial managers) can no longer think of their urban strategies in terms of competition, middle-class supply and an ideal model of governance. Solutions then crystallize around the promotion of social cohesion, via residential quality strategies, the realization of micro-projects and the recognition of urban rights.
