SUMMARY
The Global Innovation Index (Global Innovation Index) has, over the last ten years, become a global benchmark for measuring countries' innovation performance. It is produced by the World Intellectual Property Organization ( WIPO ), in collaboration with INSEAD and Cornell University,
The Global Innovation Index enables various stakeholders(governments, companies, investors, etc.) to assess the progress made in innovation over the years, and to compare economies with each other. Comparisons are also made according to countries' income levels or geographical location, to identify the best performers.
Finally, a number of case studies and international comparisons complete the report on related themes, such as public incentive policies, support for innovative companies, innovation models and research funding.
